Welcome to the KU Energy Club homepage! The KU Energy Club (KUEC) is a student run organization at the University of Kansas that aims to promote dialogue on regional and national energy topics.
After being formed in 2010, the KUEC has hosted and co-sponsored multiple energy forums to date, including Energy In-Depth’s presentation of their film “Truthland” in the Fall of 2012. Black and Veatch held a Monthly Energy Talk for KU Engineering students titled ‘Alternative Energy’. With an innovative list of energy related topics each year, the KUEC is eager to present each event free of charge to energy club members thanks to continuous support from our sponsors.
The 3rd Annual University of Kansas Energy Conference will be held at THE OREAD hotel on April 25th, 2013 and will include a keynote presentation by Dr. Greg Rorrer, former Director of Sustainability for the National Science Foundation. Panel topics for the energy conference will include ‘Innovation in Energy: Discovering for Tomorrow, Solutions for Today’ along with the ‘Water-Energy Nexus’.
